Huntington Harbor Real Estate is five beautiful man-made islands; Admiralty , Humboldt, Davenport, Gilbert and Trinidad Islands. Between the five islands they were all established between 1964 and 1978. The Harbor connects with Anaheim Bay via a waterway that passes under a bridge on Pacific Coast Highway. Sunset Bay was surveyed in 1958 and found to be a feasible harbor for the future. The original 64 acres was owned by the federal government and later in 1961 was acquired by the Harbor District under the strict condition that it would be developed as a park for recreational purposes. Today the waterways are lined with gorgeous multi-million dollar homes, boat docks, yachts and the popular Duffy Boats. There are public and private channels and Peter´s Landing offers guest parking for your boat. Peter´s Landing Marina is 15 minutes to the open water and has 325 slips to accommodate vessels from 31 feet to 96 feet.  .

Every year the Huntington Harbor Philharmonic presents a holiday season Boat Parade and Cruise of Lights.This is a wonderful way to see the boats on display with Holiday Lights and decked out in there finest. The Boat Parade takes place at Pacific Coast Highway and 25^th Street and is free to the general public. I have heard the best place to witness the parade is on PCH and Warner Avenue. The Cruise of Lights  is a 45 minute boat cruise of the harbor with festive music and a chance to see harbor homes lit up with the celebration of the winter holidays. Its starts December 12 through the end of the month. The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children. Tickets go fast so go to there website for details.

Shopping in the area is Huntington Harbor Mall on Algonquin Street has over 1500 shops and restaurants , Marina Village Mall.

The Huntington Harbor area is in the Ocean View School District for elementary and Huntington Beach High Union School District http://www.hbuhsd.edu/ for 9 thru 12 grades. The high school in that district is Marina High School.
